Rosemary C221 days agoI highly recommend Absolute Pest Management! Ants were invading my home, and they were the answer to a prayer. Ryan who did the inspection, identified the invasive species as Carpenter ants and was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done. He made the effort to get someone scheduled for the next day. Griffin who came to apply the treatments, was able to clearly explain what was being used & assure me it wouldn't harm household (or neighborhood) pets or birds. He was patient & thorough in completing the job. I began to see improvement by the next day! We had used a different company last year and gotten completely ripped off. We live in a townhouse and the whole building needed to be treated but our neighbors refused. Jacob gave us a quote for just our house. It was steep but it includes 5 visits and sealing all the entry points. Jerel has now been out for 4 of the 5 visits and he has been fantastic! The first visit netted 2 dead rats and the next 1 more. The next visit there were none. Jerel even took care of a bad hornet's nest in our backyard. He was responsive and made the process really easy in booking and paying for the one time service. The value was reasonable compared to quotes I was getting elsewhere for the small condo unit! The pest control personnel was prompt and friendly and even informed my tenant of what type of ants she was dealing with and that it was due to the weather. Payment was due via email after the service was complete. From every phone call, to their response time, and everything in between, they are the best at what they do! Johnny comes out, explains what he’s doing, why he’s doing it, and what I should expect. He’s very clear and explains everything in a way that I can understand it! Johnny even takes precautions for my baby and my dog! We will never use another company. If you are looking for a pest control company, this is your sign to go with absolute!!! Edit: I had to come back and leave another review! It’s been a couple of years and we’ve had other pest control companies try to convert us but we refuse to switch! Johnny still comes out and checks on us, and we haven’t had any issues whatsoever! I was able to connect with the office and the lady I spoke to that set up my appointments was so kind, understanding (I am a first time home owner), and quick to respond/answer questions. The gentleman that came to do the inspection/estimate was thorough and very respectful. He answered my questions, and gave me a very detailed run down of what he suspected had been going on. He took pictures of spots he wanted the crew to patch, and showed me the pictures so I understood what to expect. The estimate and inspection was free. He sent me the estimate immediately after the appointment. Once I signed, I was called a few days later to schedule the work and post visits - super easy and efficient. The day of the work, we worked with Joel and he was professional, efficient, kind, responsive - all the adjectives you would want to use to describe someone doing work at your house. He came back 3 times over the course of about 2 weeks to check traps that were set and make sure we had no concerns and answered all questions I had. The work also comes with a one year warranty, which can be renewed! Overall, I am thrilled with my experience with Absolute Pest and would absolutely recommend their services. Throughout the process I only felt respected, and like a valued customer, which I cannot say I have always experienced with other services. The problem was accurately diagnosed, he was able to come to my home that same afternoon when his colleague called about the problem. My complex uses Absolute Pest and I worked with them for a period of a month or two to ensure the roaches left. I had nothing but amazing experiences with Absolute, from their office staff to their technicians, in particular, Johnny. Johnny is so knowledgeable about his craft and took the time to educate me on the behaviors of these bugs. He also kept in consistent contact - called and asked how things were going and set up follow up visits if necessary. Working with the office was a bit rough, but Jason made up for the poor experiences with them. He was professional, kind, reassuring--probably the reason I will continue to work with this company. We tried to get clarification on a few things from the office, and the responses that we received were pretty rude/still vague/not very helpful. That said, Jason has gone above and beyond to make sure that we understand what's going on and what we need to do. He also moved his schedule around to make sure that we could get our treatment done in a way that made sense for us. He's a great young man.Posted on Angie's ListNancy G.4304 days agoWe had recently discovered evidence of a rat invasion but were not sure they were gone before we tried to clean up the area. Nothing for them to eat there, but they had left a mess of shredded insulation and droppings all over room. They also had chewed up a lot of other fibrous items for nesting material. After we called to determine if Absolute could take care of the problem, an employee came out to assess the area. He explained how the service worked and why they had to come out every other day four times to set and check the traps (i.e., F-M-W-F.) This made sure all rodents were caught and none left to die inside the house before their entry point was permanently plugged up. The day after I paid, the office called to set up the four appointments during the same two-hour time window each time. The same technician came the first three visits, which I appreciated. A second guy came for the last visit to pick up the traps and mend the hole. He explained that the materials he used, like metal mesh and a dense hardened foam, should keep them out "until they find another hole," ha-ha. We live in a very woodsy area and the house is on pier and beam, so it wouldn't be out of the question. It hasn't been very long but so far, so good. The preparation for treatment is horrendous, and the treatment may not be successful. The folks at Absolute were very patient with us, educating us and answering our questions. The owner even visited our house and agreed to give us a longer than usual warranty on the treatment. Absolute was recommended to us by another local company for heat treatment. They were cheaper on their estimate than ABC. When we did research and suggested a newer green chemical treatment (cimi-shield), they did research also and agreed to do it. There was an infestation of wasps inside of my house, apparently coming from the attic & into one of the bathrooms. I called Absolute after checking out different rates/reviews of local places, theirs having good consumer ratings & their price being about average. I told the person on the phone, who was very friendly & polite, that I had wasps inside, that I didn't see any nests anywhere. He said they would send someone out to assess the situation & a very professional man came out, walked around the house with me, and said he would only have to spray the outside. I said I suspected they were in the attic, he said it was not necessary to look there, he did look in the bathroom, but there were no wasps in there at the time. Someone came back while I was at work, sprayed, & they called me to confirm the job was done & the receipt was left in a place I specified. This was convenient for me. I didn't have to wait around for them. And they came when they said they were going to. Well, the wasps kept coming, 3 weeks after they sprayed (more than enough time for the treatment to work according to the first gentleman who came to assess my home). I called and told them & they honored their 30 day guarantee to come back if the problem had not been resolved. A man was dispatched a few days later, this time I was home. He was also friendly, and punctual. I was home this time. THIS time, he actually ASKED me to DESCRIBE the wasps. I showed him a dead one. Said they didn't ever try to attack us. Then, upon the SECOND ASSESSMENT NEARLY A MONTH LATER, the technician realized my infestation was mud dauber wasps. I don't know all the different types of wasps in this area, I'M not a pest management tech nor a native Texan, and he said these wasps are not aggressive and will be gone in a month or so on their own accord. He looked around for their nests outside and said they most likely come in through the attic (Finally the professionals aknowledge my suspicion!!!) through cracks in the walls. He suggested I get sprayable foam sealant. He walked around the house with me & pointed out some of the tiny cracks where critters can enter the house. He was really nice & apologetic. HOWEVER, the company still took my money & ineffectively treated my house. The wasps were not gone, They did a shoddy initial assessment of the problem. They did not even ask me what specific kind of wasp I had. I feel taken advantage of. I will not use this company again and my trust in home service companies doing right by a single female home owner have declined. Too bad, I'm not going to be as nice to anyone I pay to do work around the house any more. Expensive lesson to learn. The manager called me after he read this review and apologize and refunded my money. They are very friendly and professional. When I bought my house, the previous owner had done a termite pest contract with a local guy who did not do a great job. Absolute Management not only took over his termite pest contract without charging me extra, like other were quoting. I also went with pest management contract with them. The guys are very responsive. Due to the heat we have seen a rise in water cockroaches. They came by our house next day to set baits. They also gave me some valuable tips on where they might be coming from into the house which helped me seal those areas. The amount of service they provided, it kind of made sense that they charge that much. They were always available when I have questions and I was really impressed with the entomologist that came out to do the inspection. He was really nice and asked for a second chance. We let him come out the next Friday and Patrick himself did the treatment. chemicals and all! and he went under the house! second treatment = no pests. we are happy overall with the way everything turned out and plan to keep them on for qaurterly maintenance.Posted on Angie's ListJoan H.5347 days agoI think they are very good. They are also the ones who did it in the apartment complex that I have lived in. They took raccoons out of the wall there. That's the reason I called them. They seem to be very professional. Their work is guaranteed for a year. If we want to continue having them come out and do things it would be $95 a year. I think that’s pretty reasonable. We tried to catch these rats ourselves, but they were a little elusive. Our experience with them has been very good. I haven't checked their prices with any others, so I have no idea.Load more
